Crested Lark

Saw this immaculate chap and was so pleased he kept his crest at least half raised! Otherwise you would not see his special feature other than his incredible birdsong! Another extremely well camouflaged bird but one I've been trying to capture for quite a while. I did take photographs of the cyclists on the Tour of Oman but they didn't actually race to the line as they had a sit down protest as tyres were literally exploding in the extreme heat! It was really was excessively hot-we've got rain on the way! Yay!
