Remembrance

I sat quietly in my garden at 12.51pm the time the magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck on this day in 2011, killing 185 people and leaving lives changed in a brief few seconds.  

Many were injured and are still suffering four years on. Buildings around the city and surrounding areas were destroyed or are being demolished. 

There is hope as a new city grows, the spirit of Cantabrians remains strong, today is for remembrance.
