Parental responsibilities are such hard work!!
The "babes" have been preening, plucking and rearranging their finery this morning like teens going to their first ball / prom. All look very smartly turned out!!
Mum & Dad seem to be reducing the amount of food they are offering them. On some visits there will only be a tiny morsel which one baby will get, other times it is a big juicy spider which is offer round for everyone to take a bite and whoever has a mouth big enough to take what's left gets the remains!!
They sound very hungry, with the.... me...me...me...me chirps. Possibly this is a strategy used to get them to leave the nest?
I went out to blip a new bush that we planted yesterday, but it is positioned midway between the nesting box and the branch that the tits use as a staging post on their way to the nest. I was obviously messing up the system as they wouldn't fly over me to enter the box. I quickly got some plant blips and stood quietly against the wall and waited.
Someone with a morsel sat still long enough to be the blip for the day!!!
Thank you!!
PS Update on the holiday pay issue from yesterday. Rang the RCN this morning and the lady agrees with me! Work has interpreted the guidance wrongly. I will give them some time to reconsider before making the next move!!!
