The loneliness of dogs at the supermarket

This little fella was irresistible ;-)

Its 4 .years today since the 6.3 earthquake that destroyed large parts of Christchurch. Some have moved on, others would love to but can't as they wait for protracted decisions by insurance companies, EQC, the city council and regional council. We have seen the best and worst of humanity in the past 4 years.

I think it will continue that way. But what we can choose to do is to act justly, fairly, show mercy and be kind. That will make a difference.

7 more big sleeps before my big trip to the mountains. I was looking at maps and huts today. I'm nearly tempted to take my small fishing rod and a few flies with me :-)
