White Night

500,000 people wander a city engaged in Art. They are at times in awe, inspired, confused, curious or all of the above. They may not always understand but they are a part of the mammoth event that is White Night.

For the third year running White Night, a celebration of art based on light, held the attention of Melbourne City. The event, which plays out over 12 hours (7pm till 7am), includes music, sculpture, emmersive experience and, as blipped here, brings the cities buildings to life with themed light projections.  

It's nice to be in a city with imagination, a city that welcomes diversity and tries to expand the mind.  It is nice to be one of thousands seeing something for the first time and smiling at a stranger who understands the shared nature of the experience.

White Night...A colourful event that will fade in the sunlight but be fondly remembered.
