Banner in Kingston Church

This banner in Kingston-upon-Thames Church has a plaque under it reading:

"To the Glory of God and in memory of the heroic deeds of the 1st East Surrey Regiment with the first seven Divisions in 1914 this Banner was originally worked and given for the commemoration festival at the Albert Hall 14th December 1916 by those who hold their memory dear."
