PASSING TIME IN THE SUN
Another day of sunshine, another day wishing I still lived by the coast as I would at least have a bit of a breeze to cool me down. Decided to 'work' in the garden this afternoon, those weeds won't pick themselves you know, a couple of my charges were out taking in the rays so I spent a pleasant hour listening to story's of summers long gone, of childhoods spent blissfully playing in woods & dales with no thought of danger lurking around the corner just "what do you think Mums made for tea?" We may think we have it all in these modern times but I wonder, I really do wonder.
The portrait is of young Mary who moved down from the North East a few months ago to be nearer to her daughter, a lovely lady who tells a fine tale, at ninety she has just taken up playing chess to keep her mind active, she's also the one to have on your quiz team as she seems to remember the most obscure of facts.
