Kinnoull Hill Again
With tomorrow being a travelling day and after a big day out yesterday a quiet day was on the cards today. After lunch wandered into town with Mrs L. After failing to find the Dipper on the Tay our paths separated. She went into town while I took another walk up Kinnoull Hill in the hope of getting a better Peregrine than the unpublished distant shot on Sunday.
With a couple of tripods and a telescope in the sac and the weather at last turning warmer it made for a "moist" ascent. At the top there were a few bunches of flowers and cards lying around. It wasn't until I was back in town and read the headline "Kinnoull Hill Tragedy Victim Named" that I realised their significance. Only an hour after our visit on Sunday there had been an "incident" with a 20 year old man. After a full scale rescue he was taken to hospital in Dundee but on Monday died of his injuries. Tragic.
