Aurora Selfie

This was taken after midnight somewhere down near the coast. I couldn't actually see the sea but we were told not to go too far or we'd fall in. I could feel the wind off the sea. This photo was taken in the most brutal conditions I've ever tried to use a camera in. Which is probably why it took me a while to notice that my shadow was in the picture. I did eventually but I like the fact that I show up in the pic. When I got back in the bus I had to put on a second pair of gloves to get my hands back at a reasonable temperature.

Seeing the Aurora was great, worth the trip to Iceland alone for that.
