Kathakali dance/stage show

We are now staying for a few days in a very beautiful retreat with Ayurvedic treatments. During the evening there was a Kathakali stage show. It tells tales taken from Mahabharata or Ramayana. Here Lord Shiva and his wife Parvathi are disguised as forest dwelling hunters when they meet Arjuna a famous archer. It's a very ancient tradition and we watched another one earlier in our stay. It's quite captivating once you understand the gestures and story.
