Arrived

I did go see the WWI poppies at the Tower of London last autumn, but confess I didn't buy one.  However, one arrived this week for a very dear person who couldn't see how to display it.  The instructions insist you bang it into the earth with a hammer - fine in a large country garden, but I reckon in a small suburban one is a nicker's charter.  And if you live in a flat..  However, I unboxed it this morning, fitted it together and - post blipping - have currently planted it comfortably in a bottle.

What a filthy wet Sunday it's been round here.  I do hope some of you (in the UK as well as other parts of the world) have seen the sun, or we might suspect it vanished!
