Not a medical emergency

Just the massage section at the Funchal Marathon.

We strolled down in a leisurely fashion and saw lots of activity on the promenade. We asked a young runner what was going on. She was Spanish and had just taken part in the 5k Mini Marathon. She told us she had only signed up for the T-shirt and she doesn't usually run. (She looked cool and attractive. Maybe she doesn't sweat).

We spoke to a lovely German couple from Berlin, both with medals.

There are three categories. The Mini Marathon. The Half Marathon, and The Funchal Marathon. Fortunately it was overcast and pleasant. Everyone was having such fun.

Let's hope the runners on the treatment tables are just enjoying the attention.
