Fuel pump

Last weekend we had a problem with the car. Just before we went to see Buthers and co. It was not that it would not start rather that it started nicely for a second or two before stopping completely. Chris who looks after it diagnosed over the phone that it was the fuel pump. Apparently it has two. One is used if you do very high revs for extra fuel and also for starting. The other is used for everything else. So that one had failed

I got the car recovered to the garage and they changed both pimps. To do this you need to take the petrol tank out. So after o picked it up I was wary of SRs warning not to run out of petrol and gave the new pumps pumping air. I only just found the a petrol station on the way back and put 68 litres in a 70 litre tank
