I don't eat a lot of bread but I've always enjoyed making it. Although when there were six of us it wasn't practical to make bread for all of us all the time.
Now that there's just me it's nice to make myself a loaf now and then. And since I've discovered the joys of sourdough it's a really satisfying thing to make. It's the very essence of slow food - I started the dough yesterday morning and baked it this afternoon.
Sometimes the slow and gentle approach is exactly what you need.
