The tree

Easily the best part of the day.

A longish walk across the fields with the dog. The ground was still frozen but was thawing quickly. 

The rain started shortly after I got back home and then got steadily worse and worse. 

We got drenched at the boys football match - The ground was still playable when the started, but, by half time it had deteriorated beyond being safe. Despite the boys wanting to play on (they had the beating of the opposition), the game was abandoned. Still had the nets to get down and all the paraphernalia back to the cars. Cold, wet and miserable, but I think they would have ground out a good result against the league leaders. Such a shame to put all the effort in for no return. Got it all to do again sometime :-(
