Ready for take-off

Our second day at Kussharo and the Whooper Swans performed most of the day for us. We finished the day with some panning shots in the low light capturing the movement of the huge wings as they prepared to take-off from the lake and head to their resting place for the evening. It's a tricky technique to master, especially as the exposures are changing so quickly as the light fails but it feels good when you get a nice image.
