Jindřichův Hradec
We said a fond farewell to our visitors this morning then Hubby and I decided to drive to Jindřichův Hradec, a town in Czech republic, for lunch. The Renaissance castle complex pictured here is the 3rd largest in Czech Republic and the stone tower dates back to the 13th century. It was a dull day with a cold wind and bereft of people for a Sunday. It was not inspiring for sightseeing so we decided to return later in the year when the castle is open and the weather is nicer.
Instead we had a delicious lunch of Confit of Duck and Powidltascherl (plum jam pockets) and coffee for the equivalent of 25 Euros for both of us.
