Bridge, storm
Thought I'd get out with the camera before the stormy weather came in. As you can see I didn't have much time.
Sorry I've not been around much folks. It wasn't actually down to the bad back. It was down to this day. My diagnosis led to treatment. A new med to manage some pain I'm pretty much permanently in.
The drug is good, but the first few weeks on it really kick you in the head as you ramp up the dose. Dizziness, wooziness, fuzziness ( are there any other "zinesses"?), and apparently a complete lack of motivation are all common. I had them all. So from the 6th til today, I picked up my camera 3 times. All of which have now been blipped.
I can slowly feel my energy levels coming back, and my motivation is coming back too. But I've realised that the condition I've got requires me to dole out my efforts sparingly. With a family and a business (however backburner that is right now) that means that crazy "one portrait a week" projects aren't sensible.
So I'm scaling those back. I'm planning out more ambitious portraits, but less of them.
The good news is that after that visit to Newcastle, things are moving apace to get the treatment I need to lead a decent, reasonably energetic life. Something that I've struggled with for at least 5 years now. Things are on the up. :)
