Happy Days

I *think* I've already mentioned that the awful sandstorms of the weekend have brought some very welcome cooler weather. G wasn't in school today, so rather than bring me home for lunch, she suggested doing a picnic on the Creek. Sounded great; except the Creek is closed for beautification so we drove round to our local park which straddles a main highway (see middle picture).

I can't believe how much time we had; no hurrying at all and I was back to work in the hour. I said as it was such a lovely day, G ought to sit in the park and read her book. She didn't want 4 hours of that, so she decided to go home, and then venture out again around 4 to do that. I would then meet up with her after work to walk home through the park - which I did!

Managed to get a few shots along the way... some of them blipped here, and also discovered that Dubai is sister-city with Guangzhou in China, Frankfurt in Germany(!) and Beirut in Lebanon!!! There you go. I've posted the picture of the China monument which amazingly happened to be of a goat! (The sculpture is not new).

Now hoping the weather stays cool for a while yet...
