My own personal rainbow!

Got back to the flat feeling smug at missing a drenching from a really heavy shower. Within a few minutes the sun had burst forth again - it's been that sort of day. I glance through the door to the balcony (trust me it's not as big or as nice as all that) and saw this.

Never having been much of a student of physicist took me a while to figure out that the faint "rainbow" running the length of all the balconies was being caused by the relatively low-angled sun refracting through the glass balcony wall. the effect was strongest where there was a little more water on the bitumined felt floor but dissipated in any actual puddles.

I only regret my lack of camera technique and slowness to act as by the time I started to get some half interesting images the sun had shifted a little and then clouds brought the whole thing to an end. Still next time I'll be ready.....
