Stirling Castle
Visited Stirling Castle today, the first time for many years. The weather was terrible (sleety rain with cold wind) so we couldn't appreciate the stunning views but there were still lots of interesting things to see, including the Great Scottish Tapestry exhibition.
This photograph shows James V's palace (Mary Queen of Scots father) on the right. The recently restored Great Hall, built for James IV around 1503, with its authentic 'Royal Gold' harling is facing us on the left.
