Verse Speaking Competition (365 mono #185)

Our eldest was in the final of the Didcot schools Year 5 verse speaking competition this evening run by the Didcot Rotary Club.

He was really tired (our car broke down on the A43 yesterday and it took us six hours to get from Leicester to Didcot - eventually getting home at 23:30) and very nervous. However, he continued right until the end and, even though his voice was a bit shaky, he read his verse at the right pace and with pauses in all the right places. The audience laughed at all the right bits and so well done to a very tired and nervous boy for overcoming his fears and doing a good job!
