Faux Ancient Building
-Ancient: of or in time long past, especially before the end of the Western Roman Empire a.d. 476
-Masons maintain that their origins lie in Ancient Egypt, and regard that civilization as praiseworthy. An article in Mimar Sinan praises the temples of Ancient Egypt as the "source of Masonic craft"
- My building has a Masonic emblem on it but repeated searches in Portland do not recognize it as Masonic related. And a Google zoom does not identify it as anything. (I've mapped it, if any locals want to tackle this). My guess, it has been appropriated by others, and I witnessed it as an activity hub.
-So any building with a Masonic emblem is ancient, and I employ my right to call it that and make it look ancient.
