Bird Lady

Moira and I had the best adventure today with our friend and fellow Blipper ,dbifulco. We spent the day exploring  Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa.  One of our first stops was to see and feed the Lorikeets, beautiful parakeets that ate nectar from little cups in our hands.  Dbifulco is the true "bird lady" who always amazes me with the breath of knowledge that she has about birds and wildlife.  As you can see, the birds love her!  She has four Lorikeets on her arm and one on her head! If you look closely, you will see she also has no food to give them.  They just knew that this wonderful lady loves birds!  Once the food was all gone, we moved on to visit the monkeys, manatees, elephants, cheetah, hippos and giraffes.  Moira loved feeding the Masai Giraffe some romaine lettuce.  Once the way home, Moira soon fell asleep in her car seat. I am sure she was dreaming about all the animals that she saw.  Later in the afternoon when I showed her the pictures of our adventure, she sweetly asked me if we could go back to the zoo with dbifulo.  I was happy to be able to tell her that we planned a different adventure to go on for next week.  If you like zoo photos, take a look at the flicker set.  We had a very blessed day.
