Loblolly Pine Needles

We are slightly to the West and South of the Loblolly's natural range but they still seem to thrive when planted in the landscape.   This is apparently the second most common species of tree in the US and they are concentrated in the Southeastern states.   This is also the tree of the "Lost Pines Forest" near Bastrop Texas where portions of the recent film Boyhood was filmed.
