Nearly there ...

These islands, a nature reserve,
preserve the morning light
as our flight drops nearer
to Madeira, the "floating garden".

This is the first of a mini-series of backblips, filling the gaps in my holiday journal of our two weeks in Madeira. Took this through the plane window as we approached the runway. Just loving the light on the water.

(Floating garden is not an original description of Madeira, hence the quote marks!)
