Roof of Eldon Gardens Intu Eldon Square Newcastle

The original wrought iron roof taken from Newcastles famous Handyside Arcade which was unfortunately torn down to build another bland city centre shopping mall!! It was criminal what the city planners got away with in the 70's. They destroyed many unique historical landmarks instead of renovating and preserving they tore down and replaced. The roof of our once historic shopping arcade was however preserved and put to use in part of the new development.
