Tuesdays in the park with seagulls

As I've said before, I like to get out into the fresh air on Tuesday lunchtimes, to get something to eat from Tesco's and to sit in the park near the pond and watch the birdlife. It's usually sunny on Tuesdays. Today I watched idly as birds became frenzied over a loaf of bread that was being fed to them. The woman on the right had better watch out for her elbow.

How I wish I had a little bread-stall in the park! Then again, I question why on earth are we still feeding white sliced bread to wild birds? I'm far too posh for that, I only give mine organically grown lovingly hand crafted sunflower hearts from the heart of sunflower county ;)
