Vikings! (York - day 2)

Down in York for the weekend, and today just happened to be the first day of the York Viking Festival. We were up and out early to head to the Jorvik Viking Centre, and from there we headed to the York Castle Museum for a wander around. When we came out, we just caught the end of a viking display that was happening on the grass in front of the museum, and afterwards the boys wanted to get their photo taken with one of the vikings. The photographer in the photo was from the local press, and asked if he could take the boys' photo potentially to put in the paper.

After the museum, we climbed up Clifford's Tower and headed towards York Dungeon, but had second thoughts when we saw the queue outside. On the way back to the house, we stopped by the Railway Museum, although didn't last that long, as the boys were shattered by that time.

Indian takeaway for dinner, followed by a few beers when the boys were in bed.
