Busy at Marahau

We took a niece to Marahau this morning to catch a water taxi to her bach at Awaroa on the other end of the Abel Tasman National Park track.
We thought it wouldn't be very busy but February must still be a good month for the tourism operators. The tide was right out so the tractors take the tourists already on the boat which is on a trailer right out to the sea. Slide the boat off and away they go. Someone else brings the tractor and trailer back if the tide comes in.
Kayaks are taken out on a trailer too but the kayakers have to walk out.
They all looked like ants in the distance against the sun and the sparkling sea.
