Pam de Groot felt work, Blackheath Public School
I had occasion to go up to the school as our family sponsor the annual Art Prize at the local school. I popped into the hall to see how the artworks look as they had recently been moved to the back wall of the hall. They looked great - love seeing children's work and it's great to see it properly displayed.
But what really took my eye was the Pam de Groot feltwork at the back of the stage. Pam, a Blue Mountains fibre and textile artist came to the school to work with the children to produce this amazing artwork. It's truly remarkable and super fabulous and a credit to all involved. I urge you to go and look at it - don't feel you can't go if you don't have a child there - the school would welcome your interest.
