Out to Wang

Trish and I mosied on out to Wallerawang and Portland this morning, two small towns on the western side of Lithgow, about 45 mins from here.  Wang, as it's affectionately known, is rather sad and dilapidated, particularly since the Wang thermal coal fired Power Station closed in April last year.  

The power station was looking very quiet - here are some steps which probably haven't had any feet on them in quite a while.

Lunch was had at the Wang bowlo - hamburger and chips with the lot for $9.90.  We could have easily shared it (as it was impossible to come close to finishing).  There you are - cheap lunch out for 5 bucks.
