Reader

He was sitting by the side of the street, reading his bible and making notes as I rode by on my bicycle. I pulled over just down the street, hoping he wouldn't change position before I was able to get my camera out and frame the shot. I needn't have worried, he was absorbed in his studies - never looked up nor even acknowledged my presence. I supposed I could have gotten closer, but I truly did not want to disturb him. I liked the light on the background trees and the sense of serenity in this scene. A far cry from our normal noisy Mexico.
