Meet Archimedes......

I was up in Manchester today for a couple of work meetings. So now I have my new toy (iPad), I thought it would be the most portable option for a photo today.

This is a statue of Archimedes leaping out of his bath - the Eureka moment! It was created by the artist Thomas W Dagnall and erected by UMIST (now Manchester University) in 1990. It's situated in a railway viaduct arch on Altrincham Street outside the Students Union.

My first iPad blip. I wonder what he would have made of this technology?

It's not as sharp a shot as my DSLR but, it was much easier to carry!!
