The lorry arrived in at 9am for the heifers going to Stirling. Managed to get them loaded with out any mishaps ,and didn't need to tow the lorry up the yard with a tractor today !
Me and the dog went up in the Landrover to sell them. Had to watch a few times,as this landrover goes a lot faster than the old one,and it was very easy to be hitting 80 without realizing !
They sold alright ,averaging 430 kilos, and 225p / K . 3 Angus heifers managed to make  £1050 (before costs and haulage) It works out about £36/head commission. That will keep the bank manager happy for this week ,as long as I don't pay any bills !
These stone heads are built into the wall of the market. I'm not sure if they are copies,or the real ones that came from Perth market when it closed.
