the esplanade, fowey

Many happy family holidays have been spent in various properties on this little street. For a number of years we spent Easter week in Sunny Spirit which you can just about see (first house on the left in this shot). My lovely little sister was always a big fan of our Easter Sunday tradition of hurling Easter eggs off the balcony to break into them (definitely a case of sledgehammer to crack a nut).

Here, I feel more aware than usual that Mum is only in the next room, metaphorically speaking. I'm sure her corner of heaven has a bit of a Fowey feel to it. Lovely Mummy.

Being together is comforting though there are a thousand moments a day I want to share with Polly Parrett. One of the beautiful houses on this street has now been named Polly's Leap - she would so approve of that.

As well as thoughts of Mummy today also featured egg on toast, Zeke's first swim (not in the sea I hasten to add), a jaunt round the antiques shops in Lostwithiel and an evening walk to the Galleon for a drink. Nice.
