Like Father, like Son.
This is the husband and No 2 son of one of my oldest school friends. Their family could tell a story that would make Eastenders PALE into insignificance - but they always come out smiling. No matter how busy or stressful my life, after a visit here I realise my life is an oasis of calm !
L has a dog walking/daycare/grooming business. I dropped in on my way west for a cuppa, just as she was heading out to walk 5 dogs. There were another 7 in the house - so I turned down the offer of tea with the dugs ! Not sure I would have come out alive the way they were drooling at the window !
L's husband is a total nutter. There isn't a business venture he hasn't tried and both he and his son are VERY keen on water sports. Thankfully Alan is a bit more successful than his dad (there was the 'repaired' canoe that sank, and the inflatable boat that flew off a car roof and caused road chaos !).
Ian built a dog grooming parlor into the back of his garage and specialises in emptying dog anal glands (don't ask !).
And thanks to this lot and their thoughtful birthday present - I have a 2 hour Surfing lesson to look forward to !
Next time we can go to Starbucks Lou !
