What We Leave Behind
Is by no means represented in this image.
Today we attended the cremation of Joanne Moodie. She was many things to many people by circumstances of blood, relationships, work, etc. She taught music to children of all ages and abilities and encouraged them to create on their own terms.
To me and my former colleagues, Joanne was a highly respected and much loved Military Intelligence Operator. She was always there when needed and had that sense of humour so essential to those who dabble in the black arts of MI.
There was an impressive turnout of her family and friends and her former colleagues and her funeral/cremation was conducted with full military honours, to which she was entitled.
Joanne died of cancer aged 38 and leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter, Grace, and Dave, her partner.
Whatever your personal beliefs, think of her tonight.
