David Robinson

The lovely David Robinson is retiring as literary editor of the Scotsman, and to celebrate this event, the Scottish Book Trust threw a party at Summerhall, which was attended by many of David colleagues and friends, which included KryptoMart and myself.

Here is a blip of Alexander McCall Smith saying many kind words and reminising about being wrapped in tin foil in the Kalahari Desert in Botswana (I do love the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency books, as well as the Scotland Street novels). Anyway, a great night, made even better by David's niece, Keira treating us to two amazing operatic pieces, a real talent in her own right.

I hope you have all had a good Wednesday.
