Coast
Today, unfortunately a number of shops we wanted to revisit & some new ones still maintained Sunday closing hours- even in a few cases declaring the "Lord's Day"...!
I understand the religious reasons but I was still pretty surprised given the town's tourist attraction...
We therefore headed to Robin Hood's Bay..another location that was set alongside Eden Camp for a visit.
It was a small but nice little place & there was much excitement at a dinosaur & fossil shop!
It was funny when Ferguson bought some kind of polished stone & a leather string in order to make himself a new age necklace!
Mine & Gracie's search for a Sea Pom Pom (Urchin) was unsuccessful yet endearing & I helped her read & find all the listed creatures in a tank at a marine discovery shop.
We called to Barry & Rebecca's en-route back & it was nice to see them & to see how much Milo has grown!
Dropping the girls off was, I know, a very difficult moment for Alex & hugs from Evie & Marley gave me a tight throat too...particularly Marley whispering in my ear that she missed me already.
I hope these past few days will set a foundation for the start of his & my new beginning. I know there is a way to go but spending good time together, & rediscovering each other with and without the children is how we can achieve what we both desire...a happy, loving, fun, relaxed stress-free family. Well, in my case anyway...I'd like to think the feeling was mutual!
