Mid-week madness...
Good grief! I started watching The Brits although my usual name for them is more akin to a dose of the trots so I have switched over to watch Celebrity Bake Off. That could also cause a dose of something looking at the state of sone of those pavlovas although the one looked really good..
I went into the office today which made a nice change.
Year end testing/pressure was hanging in the air along with a review going on of all our IT services. It felt more like a funeral parlour than an office today.
I'm glad I put my smart black trousers on for a change rather than my jeans. Just as well. In this hot desking world, even the head of our section had lost his office for the day and was sat at a vacant desk by the boiler. I wouldn't fancy sitting there with that thing burbling and hissing all day. However, some people are worse I'm sure...
I spent the morning investigating a few queries with the absence reports. I was quite pleased to discover that there was a couple of data problems HR need to sort out to make everything hang together properly. Feeling a bit blurry, I headed out for a bit of fresh air to clear the head and then went back for a short afternoon.
I intended to get a street scene for a change for my picture today but my heart wasn't in it so I left it until after the hairdresser where I decided to have my head shaved and decorated with shamrock designs in time for Paddy's Day on the 17th of March. I think my mother (from Killarney in the south of Ireland) might appreciate that.
When I got back, I felt industrious after the usual phone call to mom and scrubbed all the feed dishes and containers on the bird feeding station before refilling them all. The birds didn't seem that grateful afterwards though but they'll be OK by tomorrow I expect.
