Red- Winged Blackbird.......

no red...but a winged beauty in her own right!  She tweets the familiar song "loud, raspy and persistent konk-a-reee or eat my cheezies song".   I was on a little boardwalk trail at the Mercer slough earlier today and while looking for these...actually looking for the more common sighting of the male, when I saw her.  They are quick to fly up and down in the wetland areas so I was so happy she stayed still to sing a bit for us:)  Later in the day I saw the movie Alice Still with Juilianne Moore's Oscar winning performance...it was excellent.
