Day Two
A few of the little girls were bright eyed and bushy tailed at a little before 5am. Not surprisingly...it was a two of the same girls who couldn't settle the night before. The guidance given was that they were NOT to wake their friends. They were to stay quiet until it was time to get up and going for the day. They struggled with this direction, and I was not all that happy to be awake so early. This might have started my day a bit unhappily.
When it was finally time to get everyone up...it was a bit of a rush to get everyone dressed and all packed up. Then it was breakfast, and a tour of the outdoor exhibits. So many aquatic birds, and sea life. The kids loved it. Sugar's favorite was a harbor seal named, Boots.
We left the aquarium about 9am, and headed towards home. We stopped for a bit of a bathroom break, and a run around. Then we stopped to see some sea lion caves. We went down 200 ft in an elevator with all the children. My goodness. Keeping track of everyone felt like such a challenge.
We had a pizza lunch, and continued on our way back to the school. Whew....I was so tired, and ready to be with just my ONE quiet child. I'm really glad I went. I had fun, but....I need to gather way more patience before I do it again. tee hee.
