Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 -- BIG FAT SOAP

What a surprise late this afternoon when the mailman stopped his vehicle in front of our house and walked to the front door with a package. Once Mr. Fun brought it inside and opened it, we were delighted. Fragrance filled the air.

I immediately sent a text to Deb, a former blipper, to tell her thank you. She had contacted me several weeks ago to let me know she had found a newspaper article about Mr. Fun & I that had been written and published years ago back when Deb lived in our community. She wanted to  know if we would like to have it and I said sure.

Little did I know that she would include two lovely bars of her Big Fat Soap. Deb is an excellent soap maker. We are thrilled to be gifted with a couple bars of her magic. Wow! Just wow!

The mailman told us some back story -- he had delivered the box early in February while we were still at the Central Coast. The package sat on our porch for several days and our mailman noticed that and picked it up and took it back to the post office and held it till he knew we were home. We knew that meant that our grandson Emerson who has lived with us since June 1, and had moved out the end of January, wasn't truly checking the mail as he had indicated to us that he would do until we returned home. Oh well, no harm. We are thankful for a very thoughtful mail person.
