Leura Cascades
This afternoon we went looking for a waterfall to photograph. It's part of my homework this week for the camera course that I enrolled in three weeks ago. I'm really enjoying it and it's quite a revelation to know what a lot of the knobs on my camera are for! This week it's all about shutter speed so I decided I would take a long exposure and then try and capture a bird in flight (not all at once I might add :-)
I hope Hobbs's Run likes my image and I know he will be checking to see the shutter speed. Yes Mr Hobbs it was taken with a shutter speed of 2" :-)
When we got home I made a cup of coffee and set the camera up on a fast shutter speed of 1/1250th of a second, set the aperture and iso and waited and waited and waited for a bird to appear so I could capture it. Do you know that in half an hour not one appeared. CCN told me it was a lesson in patience and delayed gratification. RIGHT!!
