A Job with a View

This is taken looking down at the excavator, finishing the demolition of the last of the houses at this end of Clifton Hill. The view looks across the Sumner Bar to Southshore, and beyond to Pegasus Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The image I blipped on February 24 was taken from the beach, looking up towards the crane and excavators.
This excavator looks to me to be at an extreme angle, and given that those cabbage trees are right on the edge of cliff, that driver must have nerves of steel. I'm glad the tracks held fast to the land!
