I have no idea why

Our neighbourhood is varied, if nothing else.  At the bottom of the road I live on is a small block of shops: a general 7-11 type shop plus others which I really don't have any idea about what they sell.  Over time they have been: a picture framing shop, an upholsterer, a shop selling recycled furniture.  The one thing they all had in common was that the opening hours (apart from the 7-11) were erratic.

This is what is in the window of one of those shops at the moment.  I have no idea why.
