" . . . . red in tooth and claw."  or just pure mishap.  Fang was making a fuss pawing at the fence that divides dog-space from the garden side of the yard.  I had to go and investigate.  The finch seemed to have an injured wing or was just exhausted from the cold.

       A morning spent with Maddie Prior I mean Madeline MacNiel (on CD and DVD, not live).  Maddie Prior sang with Steeleye Span many years ago.  Madeline MacNeil is an accomplished dulcimist on both hammered and Appalachian and used to publish Dulcimer Players News until about 2007 when Dan Landrum and his wife Angie assumed the task.
