Derelict in Shipley

Over this delightful Grade 2 listed bridge are the remains of Junction House, which sits  at the point where the Leeds Liverpool Canal had a spur off to Bradford. There is still a Canal road into Bradford, but the canal was filled in around the 1920s.  Derelict Thursday is a wonderful catalyst for historical inquiries!
As I alighted at Shipley so did Earthdreamer! We walked to the canal together.  Having not seen him for ages I've now seen him twice in one week!!
