.... Tuesday that it has been light enough to play in the garden with Grandad before tea. The sun was fading but that didn't stop them. They remembered all their games and made sure each game got a fair play. Katie was very pleased to be able to do it! She was sat finishing her homework when they arrived and, to her credit, she stayed and finished it willingly before running off to the garden. 

She had read her holiday story to her teacher this afternoon. Given that the writing in it was further on than the reading that he had previously been giving her, I was pleased to see her moved up a level with her books this evening! She still isn't impressed at the ease of them but it's a step forward.
